Atlanta (CBS46)-It was a tough week for the Morningside Village shopping plaza business.

Currently, three over-the-counter intrusions, one attempted over-the-counter intrusion, and a car intrusion within the same week are all under investigation. It makes business owners and customers uneasy.

“Sadly it doesn’t surprise me,” said Betsy McKay, the owner of the casserole. “It’s a tough time now. I think we’re all tired of it.”

Casserole security cameras caught a man trying to break in early Friday morning and broke one of the two windows on the front door with a crowbar. To his surprise, McKay’s attempt was unsuccessful.

But the other three stores in the area weren’t very lucky. Kale Me Krazy, Purre Bar, and Vivid Hair Salon in Morningside Village broke the front door and messed up the store this week alone, raising concerns for customers and people living nearby.

“It’s a real problem in the area and no one seems to have an answer to it,” said Eric Griffin, who frequently goes to Morningside Village and lives within half a mile.

This is an extension of my living room where I am always here when I go for a walk, “said Zack Gaddson. “”[I feel] I violated a little. This is my neighborhood. Don’t do it here. “

Atlanta police have not disclosed whether the four intrusions are involved or how many suspects may be involved.
