Kansas City, Missouri — One person is in serious condition after a night traffic accident in Kansas City, Missouri, following police pursuit.
A police station in Kansas City, Missouri, answered the phone after a two-crew white Fiat 500 left the 11th Avenue and Grand Boulevard areas at high speed. Police say the vehicle was mostly running over pedestrians and was informed that one crew member was armed with a gun.
Police officers tried to pull the car to check it, but Fiat didn’t stop.
Police began tracking the vehicle, but stopped near 13th Avenue and Charlotte Street. Fiat has begun to move in the wrong direction on Interstate 70 to the west.
Upon entering the I-70 and Benton areas, Fiat crashed into a gold Toyota Solara and hit a guardrail, according to KCPD.
Fiat passengers were seriously injured and taken to a local hospital. The driver was also transported with a non-life-threatening injury.
Toyota passengers were unharmed.
According to police investigations, Fiat’s driver’s disability may have been the cause of the crash.
