1 killed, 4 injured in northeast Fresno car crash – Fresno, California

Fresno, Calif. (KFSN)-An accident in northeastern Fresno killed one woman and injured four.

It occurred on Burst Avenue and Force Street between First and Cedar after 1am.

Police say Barstow was heading east when Honda Civic turned to the right side of the street and hit a tree across the sidewalk.

The driver and four passengers were fixed in the car.

When police arrived, they discovered that a woman was unconscious and tried to revive her.

“The police immediately provided assistance to the individual and the individual was sentenced to death on the scene,” said Lieutenant Brian Pierce of the Fresno police.

The woman’s name has not been published.

The other four injured are expected to be taken to a community community medical center and be okay.

It is unknown if anyone in the car was wearing a seatbelt. Police are looking for surveillance videos to help them investigate.

Traffic along Burstway Avenue from Millbrook to Bond is closed. The driver will be asked to avoid the area.
