More than 100 people have been arrested for criminal accusations related to the riots at the US Capitol last week.
The Associated Press count came from a national review of court records and arrest announcements issued by law enforcement agencies.
Allegations range from breach of restrictions on misdemeanors in the District of Columbia to assaults by law enforcement officers, theft of government property, and federal felony related to possession of firearms and explosives.
Federal prosecutors and the FBI said this week they are tracking dozens of suspects identified through photos and videos of the January 6 melee attack and tips from the general public.
Newly arrested on Wednesday was 56-year-old Robert Keith Sparker in Newport News, Virginia.
His face photo appears to match a bearded man photographed at the Capitol wearing a hoodie adorned with the phrases “Camp Auschwitz” and “Work brings freedom.” Others were killed during World War II.
