Nashville, Tennessee (WKRN) – Police officers from Clarksville to Centerville and Jackson to Ashland City are all looking for bar thieves to pry cash boxes at electric company payment centers.

The latest crime in this serious crime case occurred in Ashland City around 4:15 am on September 13. At that time, police said a thin thief in Under Armor Parker wore a mask and gloves, pulled a bar from his pants, and the door of an automated teller machine at Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation (CEMC) on North Main Street in Ashland City. According to police, 40 minutes later, the same man appeared at the Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation Payment Center on Madison Street in Clarksville, Tennessee. Bandits take more cash here and drive them away with a dark-colored 4-door sedan.

Upon returning to Ashland City, police arrived and found the money left behind and a lot of damage.

Det. Bill Powers dusted the area for prints, but the bandits wore gloves. “He looks like a pro,” Powers said. “This is not his first rodeo.”

News 2 learned from July that a thief, who matches the same description as the Clover thief in Ashland City, has invaded the Meriwether Lewis Electric Company in Hickman County’s Center Building.

Police say the same man was suspected of having attacked twice with an electric corps in Jackson, Tennessee, in Madison County, western Tennessee.

“He makes cash quickly and easily,” Det said. Powers.
