That’s exactly what 11-year-old Nelson McConnell did.

“My mom was planning our flea market and I wanted to be part of it,” Nelson said. “And it was hot and I came up with the idea of ​​making lemonade.”

But Nelson didn’t just make regular lemonade.

“We love flavors and help people love the mixture, so I decided to give it my name, so people knew it belonged to Nelson and got the flavor. “It was,” Nelson said. “That’s why it’s called Nelson’s flavor.”

He knew how to mix family flavors.

“From my great-grandmother, grandmother and mother, it wasn’t regular, it was always something special, because they were always lemonade, Kool-Aid,” McConnell said.

Nelson calls himself a “fourth generation mixologist”.

“Let’s say you’re trying to give up on yourself. Your support team isn’t letting it happen, so they support you when you want to quit,” Nelson said. “They are pushing you when you don’t want to push yourself.”

He has a message to aspiring young entrepreneurs.

“If you want to do something, you can do it by paying attention to it,” Nelson said. “Do not give up.”

Nelson’s goal is to have Flavorades trucks and storefronts to give customers more options.
