In today’s episode of children’s bad behavior, we are thankfully told that we have a happy ending. This means that no one was injured, including the 11-year-old boy who eventually crashed this full-size school bus after a fast chase of police in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. No, it’s not a typo – this kid was 11 years old. And he probably has a lifelong basis, or at least he’s better.
Wild rides did not occur during school hours.by WAFB, The incident occurred on Sunday morning, October 11th. It was robbed of the progress head start where the bus was stopped for unknown reasons. The report states that the bus belongs to the headstart subcontractor, not the local school district. The bus reportedly had a push start feature and wasn’t safe. It is unknown at this time whether bus owners may face charges.
It is known that the kid grabbed the steering wheel around 11:00 am local time and literally went to town. The tracking covered several areas and lasted about 30 minutes. As you can see in the video below from Scottie Hunter on Twitter, young drivers weren’t too worried about following traffic laws.
The second clip shows a boy whipping at an intersection at high speed and being tracked by a police car cavalry.
During the 30-minute chase, the suspected underage thief jumped over the curb, hit a gas pipe, cultivated private land, and eventually slammed into a tree that appeared to be going under a large branch. Witnesses reported that the child looked fine when police got off the bus that detained him. His name is not disclosed because he is a minor, but boy bus drivers have been reportedly charged with various crimes, including car theft and exacerbation of property damage.
No one is obviously happy that they didn’t hurt the boy in particular. To your child to keep the people there safe and yell Absent Steal things … especially school buses that can plow buildings without much effort, don’t worry about innocent people.
