Castle Rock, Colorado (KMGH) — They say if you’re good at something, don’t do it for free. But why not do it just to collect money for the cause you believe in instead?
Amarei Lagrimas, an eighth-year student at Castle Rock Middle School in Colorado, has used her passion for art to manufacture and sell bracelets that benefit Ukraine.
“When they were first invaded, it was really devastating to see, and I really wanted to help them,” Amarei said.
Amarei sells bracelets for $ 10 on the Colorado market and on her Instagram page. The proceeds were sent to Ukraine Aid Ops.
Amarei bracelets are attracting attention all over the world. Two bracelets were sold to Germans for $ 1,000.
“I’m really surprised because many didn’t want to buy them,” she said. “I am pleased that people are interested in supporting Ukraine.”
