14-Year-Old Girl In Pa. Charged In Stabbing Death Of 19-Year-Old Sister – CBS Pittsburgh – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Lancaster, PA (AP) — Officials said a 14-year-old girl was charged with stabbing her sister at her home in Pennsylvania.

According to a Lancaster County prosecutor, the girl called 911 shortly after 1 am on Monday and directed the arriving police officer to her bedroom in Manheim Township. There, a 19-year-old sister was found stabbed in the neck.

According to prosecutors, the first responder saved lives, but the victim was sentenced to death at the scene. The prosecution said the sister’s parents were asleep at that time.

The District Attorney’s Office said the teenager was charged with criminal murder as an adult because the murder was not considered a delinquency in Pennsylvania. The prosecution said that not only the death situation, but also the motive was still sought.

The town’s police station, Secretary of State Thomas Luzinski, called it “just a terrible situation.”

“I can’t imagine what those parents are experiencing today,” he told WHP-TV. “I’m sure they’re upset, to say the least, about losing one, and the second is in jail.”
