Merced, Calif. (KFSN)-Merced police have arrested two women accused of robbing several businesses in the past two weeks.

Police officers arrested 39-year-old Stephanie Belden after discovering that he had stolen a license plate from a car near Fifteenth Avenue after midnight.

Investigators say Belden had his car key stolen during his arrest. They believe the key is one of nearly five dozen keys taken from a local car dealership on Monday.

Police searched Belden’s house and found 55 stolen key fobs. They also found thousands of dollars worth of items stolen from North Merced tattoo shops and South Merced hanger bars and grills.

Investigators arrested 20-year-old Adriana Wickard, who was at Beldon’s house at the time of the search and had one of the stolen key sets.

A 17-year-old girl was also found and arrested at home in connection with an incident involving criminal intimidation early that night, officials said.

According to police, most of the stolen goods were returned to the company.

Belden and Wickard were imprisoned in Merced County Jail on several charges.
