Two people were killed and a child injured in an accident in Robeson County on Tuesday night, officials said.
Around 6 pm, North Carolina Highway Patrol soldiers were sent to the Cabinet Shop Road area for a two-vehicle collision.
73-year-old Gerald Dale was driving a 1999 Plymouth van when he crossed the centerline and collided with a 2016 Honda Civic driven by 35-year-old Brandy Strickland.
According to NCHP, both drivers died as a result of the collision. A 5-year-old passenger in Plymouth Van was injured and taken to the hospital.
