Clarksfield Township, Ohio (WJW) —A investigation is underway after three vehicles were involved in a crash on Friday afternoon and two boys were seriously injured. Ohio Highway Patrol report.
The crash reportedly occurred around 2:56 pm along State Highway 18 in Clarksfield Township. The boy reportedly missed the surrender sign as he entered the SR-18 and was driving a 2007 GMC, hitting a semi-truck and being pushed into a Ford Explorer heading in the opposite direction.
OSHP said GMC drivers and boy passengers were airlifted to the Metro Health Medical Center due to life-threatening injuries. Another passenger, a 44-year-old man, was also injured and taken to the Fisher Titus Medical Center. No one was reportedly wearing a seatbelt in the car.
The semi-truck driver was not injured, the soldiers said. Three people in Ford Explorer, including a child seat child reportedly uninjured, were taken to a university hospital for evaluation.
Impairment is not believed to be the cause of this incident.
