Both cases are under investigation.

Authorities are investigating two separate deadly shootings that occurred on Friday night.

In Lowell, police were called to Barker Avenue at 6:15 pm to find a 30-year-old man with a gunshot wound, according to a statement from the office of Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan.

According to officials, he was taken to a local hospital where he was sentenced to death.

In Everett, police were called to Second Street and Libya Street around 8 pm after reports of firing, according to another statement from Ryan’s office.

Shortly thereafter, police were called to the Widden Memorial Hospital to report gunshot victims taken to a medical center, according to a statement.

A 20-year-old man was later sentenced to death, officials said.

Both cases are under investigation.
