Seoul >> Two US Secret Service employees in South Korea prepare for President Joe Biden’s visit and return home after being involved in a conflict with a local who led to a police investigation.

Agents and armed physical security experts were involved in alcohol fuel incidents, including intense discussions with taxi drivers, and local law enforcement agencies were police officers, according to people familiar with the uncommented issue. I will submit a report publicly. Other witnesses have also complained about the actions of federal law enforcement officers.

One of the employees was investigated by local police but was not charged. Secret Service is conducting its own research.

“Secret Services is aware of off-duty cases involving two employees that could constitute a potential policy breach,” said spokesman Anthony Griermi. He added that the case “did not affect” the president’s trip.

Two employees of Secret Services flew back to their homes hours before Biden arrived in Seoul on Friday and began his visits to South Korea and Japan.

“We have very strict protocols and policies for all our employees, and we adhere to the highest professional standards,” said Guglielmi.

Biden toured a Samsung semiconductor chip factory near Seoul on Friday night. He also met the new South Korean president, Yoon Sin-buchi.
