Kansas City, Missouri (KCTV)-Police said two teenagers were shot dead in a parking incident outside a charter school basketball game in Kansas City on Wednesday night.
In response to the great turmoil just outside the school, police officers were called to Ewing Marion Kaufman School. According to the schedule of the Missouri State High School Activities Association, Kaufman School was playing basketball against the Hogan Preparatory Academy. Both are public charter schools in Kansas City.
Off-duty police officers were working to escort a large crowd when gunshots were fired in the parking lot near 63rd Street and Meyer Boulevard. Two victims later appeared in a nearby hospital and were injured by non-life-threatening ammunition, according to Kansas City police.
Police described the victims as if they were in their late teens, saying they were not students at Kaufman School.
