Buy / Drive / Burn is back today with the latest “cheapest” installments. series It saw us covering sedans, medium-duty trucks, and more recently some convertibles.
And today we are discussing the cheapest full size truck offered in 2021.
Chevrolet Silverado 1500
The Silverado is today’s GM entry as it saves about $ 1,000 over the cheapest GMC Sierra Twin. The cheapest configuration is the rarely selected regular cab. Trims range from a 4.6-liter V6 (285 hp) WT 4×2 and 6-speed auto for $ 28,900 to a 5.3-liter V8 for $ 57,600 high country. The WT Regular Cab is only available in longbed format (8’6”) and the eight exterior colors are free. The interior is jet black, but we offer cloth and vinyl materials to suit your taste. GM has added a $ 1,695 fare to the Silverado, with a final request of $ 28,900.
Ram 1500 Classic
Believe it or not, Ram offers a classic final generation track in 2021. It’s available for basic Tradesman and higher-end Express and Warlock trims starting at $ 28,700 for Tradesman and $ 36,945 for Warlock. Both trims use the same 305 hp 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 as the Chrysler Voyager from last week’s B / D / B entry. All trims use the same 8-speed automatic. Here, the basic dollar is subtracting a 6’4 inch cargo box instead of the Chevrolet’s 8′. Two colors, red and white, are available free of charge. Interior options include free gray and black cloth or gray vinyl. Lamb will add a destination fee of $ 1,695 for a total of $ 30,395.
Last but not least, it’s the Ford F-150, today’s most expensive option. With its basic regular cab and short box (6’6”) configuration, Ford demands $ 28,940. Twenty-five configurations from XL to Platinum are available, with entry fees over $ 59,000. Our basic dollar chooses XL trim and the average output comes from a 3.3 liter V6 engine suitable for 290 horsepower. The horses are routed through the rear wheels via a 10-speed automatic. Eight different exterior colors are available at no additional charge, and dark gray vinyl or cloth interiors are also available. After a destination fee of $ 1,695, the F-150 will cost buyers $ 30,635.
Three basic trucks compete for the lowest possible number of your dollars. Which one is worth buying?
