Last month, Cadillac confirmed the changes it would make to its next model year sedan product. The 2021 Cadillac CT4 and CT5 are in their second year of service and have undergone major updates.
However, Cadillac is reported to offer a new package for the CT5, and more specifically the CT5 Sport trim.According to the report by GM AuthorityThe CT5 Sport gets a V-performance package designed to fill the gap between the Sport and the V-series trim.
As the name implies, the V Performance Package will be added to the CT5 Sport with a performance upgrade from the V Series Trim. These upgrades include performance suspension, mechanical limited slip differential, and the recently announced Magnetic Ride Control 4.0. The 4th generation of GM’s unique suspension technology provides a 45% faster damping response compared to its predecessor.
Buyers must also select Brembo V Performance Brakes to obtain the V Performance Package. You also need to select the RWD model as it will not be provided if you run it on all fours.
Of course, the CT5 Sport with V Performance Package also gets most of the 2021 model updates. These include a better 12-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a state-of-the-art infotainment system that integrates Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Exterior paint colors such as Red Obsession Tint Coat and Royal Spice Metallic have also been removed from the options and replaced with Infrared Tint Coat. CT4-V and CT5-V can only be used with Rift Metallic paint jobs.
The GM Authority has not reported the price of the CT5 Sport’s V-performance package, but it will be revealed in the coming months or when the configurator appears in the 2021 model.
