About the award

The Marian Ivers Community Services Leadership Award recognizes the actions, commitments and leadership of currently registered UNO students working on issues that affect our community. The Ivers Award is a $ 2,000 grant that can be used for educational expenses such as books, computer equipment, computer supplies, career wear, and unpaid travel for job interviews.

Award qualification

The Ivers Award recognizes currently enrolled UNO undergraduate students who can set an exemplary record of community services and leadership affecting women and girls. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and a minimum of junior class status by May 2023.

About Marian Ivers

Marian Ivers was a single mother who stood at the pinnacle of professionals and the community leadership In Omaha, he eventually served as the first vice president of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce. Along the way, she encouraged, inspired, and instructed hundreds of women to do the same.

The application deadline is before September 24, 2021.
