Efficiency drops to 98mpg-e or 34kWh per 100 miles.

Hyundai had previously said that these long-range versions were the only ones heading to the United States, but the EPA also evaluated a smaller 58kWh battery model with a single motor. The range is the lowest at 220 miles, but the efficiency is in the middle at 110mpg-e or 31kWh per 100 miles. The ratings for dual motors and 58kWh batteries that will be available in other markets are not listed. The EPA’s assessment does not guarantee that the model will be offered, but it does ensure that Hyundai announces about it.

The 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 will first be launched in 2022 in 17 states and will be offered more availability later.
