What kind of car is the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder? What does it compare to?
The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder is a three-row crossover SUV that seats up to eight people. From the Mazda CX-9 and Chevrolet Traverse to the Subaru Ascent and Kia Telluride, we compete with rivals from all major automakers.
Is the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder a good SUV?

The redesigned Pathfinder isn’t a performance crossover or electric dynamo, but it uses the latest technology to carry up to eight passengers and traction up to £ 6,000. It has a strong TCC rating of 6.8 out of 10 (for more information, see How to evaluate a car.. )
The 5th generation Nissan Pathfinder, which has been redesigned for the first time since 2013, has a completely new interior and exterior, and is equipped with the latest convenience and safety technology. The V-6 engine remains the same, but the new transmission, all-wheel drive system, and electric steering rack allow the driver to adjust the seven drive modes to suit on-road or off-road conditions.
In the new suit for the first time in almost 10 years, the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder holds its high vertical face with a short overhang, and the 3-slot grill bridges the flat hood with the same wide face as the original. The U-shaped grille spreads over a thin daytime running light like a faint eyebrows on a standard LED headlight.
Internally, Nissan has optimized the Pathfinder space. It’s slightly shorter than its predecessor, but much wider. The cockpit is anchored to a large truck-like center stack with an 8.0-inch or 9.0-inch touch screen available, and dominates the horizontal vent band and temperature control bar.
It can also accommodate up to 8 passengers or 7 passengers using a second row captain chair. The second row seats open forward at the push of a button for easy access to the third row seats and the child seats are ready to use. The third row accommodates two adults, and the 16.6 cubic foot space behind the third row accommodates four sets of golf clubs.
A new 9-speed automatic transmission replaces the old CVT, delivering power from the same 284-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 to the front or all four wheels via all-wheel drive available. The driver can switch between seven terrain modes to optimize gear for the situation. When properly equipped, the Pathfinder can tow up to £ 6,000. This is the best in its class. With front-wheel or all-wheel drive, the 2022 Pathfinder tops the list with a total of 23 mpg.
Standard features include an 8.0-inch touch screen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry, satellite radio, and other modern helpers. Alternatively, Pathfinder shoppers can choose from the available 9.0-inch touchscreen and wireless CarPlay. With platinum trim, a large 10.8-inch heads-up display displays vehicle information on the road ahead and a 12.3-inch digital display illuminates the instrument cluster. Additional platinum features include a Bose 13-speaker sound system, navigation, heated second-row seats, panoramic sunroof, and power tailgate.
All 2022 Pathfinders are equipped with automatic front and rear emergency braking, blind spot monitors, lane departure warning, and automatic high beams. Safety options range from surround view camera systems to adaptive cruise control.
