NS. Louis (KMOV.com)-A 21-year-old man has been detained after several buildings in downtown St. Louis were damaged overnight.
Around 2:30 am on Thursday, glass plates were damaged at the Enterprise Center, St. Louis City Hall, coroners, and St. Louis Police Institute. Police reported that a suspect, later identified as Antonio Burns, broke the glass with rocks. He also allegedly threw a scooter into the window of the Enterprise Center.
After the vandalism, police told News 4 that they were unaware that nothing had been stolen, but a Bruce Store employee in the Enterprise Center said the jersey had been lost. An Enterprise Center spokesman told News 4 that the current estimated damages amount is about $ 10,000. The vandalism does not affect the home game on Thursday night.
Burns was arrested at a nearby Metrolink shortly after the crime. At that time, he found no stolen goods. He was charged with property damage. He is believed to have acted alone.
Burns was previously accused of damaging windows on October 14th at Elder Shirt Loft, Bogen Loft, Salon Six Zero, and T-Mobile. Police believe he may also be responsible for other property damage cases in downtown St. Louis.
