Las Vegas (KLAS) — Sunday night marks the beginning of a “serious traffic disruption” during a paving project on the 215 Beltway between the windmill lane and Pecos Road.
The project could continue until August 2, according to Clark County officials.
According to Dan Klin, a spokesman for Clark County, the highway will be expanded to four lanes on each side during the project.
Drivers should expect highway ramps to be closed intermittently and lanes to be reduced during construction. Pavement takes place from Sunday night to Friday morning, from 8 pm to 5 am.
Westbound 215 will be paved first. Only one lane is open overnight and can be closed intermittently. Only two lanes are open during the day.
The eastbound 215 pavement is scheduled to begin in early July, following the same plan to close lanes and ramps.
Las Vegas Pavement is the contractor for this project.
