#22 Fresno State begins conference play with 38-30 win over UNLV – Fresno, California

Fresno, CA (KFSN)-In the first week of the season’s ranking, Fresno State Bulldogs began conference play by beating UNLV 38-30.

The Bulldog moved 4-1 in the season and 1-0 in the Mountain West, with UNLV falling to 0-4 (MW 0-1).

The rebels kept it interesting as a heavy underdog for most of the night, leading the bulldog 14-0 after a quarter and 14-9 in halftime.

Ultimately, Fresno State University found a way to win after surpassing UNLV 29-16 in the second half.

Originally from Parlia, Jalen Cropper continued to play hard after finishing 14 receptions at UCLA last week at 141 yards and finishing at 10 receptions, 108 yards and 4 touchdowns on Friday night.

After being recognized nationally following last week’s confusing victory, quarterback Jake Hayner threw 378 yards and five touchdowns.

The next Bulldog match will take place in Hawaii on October 2nd with a kickoff set at 8pm.
