22-year-old man arrested on suspicion of fatally shooting 17-year-old Anaheim boy – Anaheim, California

Officials announced Tuesday that a 22-year-old man was arrested on Friday for deadly shooting of a 17-year-old Anaheim boy.

According to police, Johnny Abalos was shot dead in 2200 blocks of W. Colchester Drive in Anaheim shortly after midnight on June 27.

Anaheim police said in a news release that during the three months the detective investigated the murder and eventually identified Christian Albertonava, who lives in Anaheim, as a suspect.

On September 17, investigators found and arrested Nava in the areas of Catera Avenue and Lewis Street.

He was detained on suspicion of murder and booked at an Anaheim detention facility. He was then transferred to Orange County Prison and detained in lieu of $ 1 million.

Police did not give details on how the shooting came about.
