Santa Clarita, CA-A car accidentally broke through a wall, plunged into a kindergarten classroom in Santa Clarita, and sent three children to the hospital on Monday night, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department official.

Emergency personnel responded to a crash reported at the Raptit Academy on 28041 Seco Canyon Road at around 4:30 pm.

According to the Associated Press, an academy statement said a “school family car” struck the building and drove it into the classroom. According to the statement, three children and one staff member were in the classroom and were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

AIR7HD passed through Northridge Hospital as a precautionary measure was that three victims were being transported by helicopter. No major injuries have been reported.

According to the LA County Sheriff’s Office, the vehicle driver was quoted as unlicensed.

The school was evacuated and temporarily closed.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. Witnesses said the driver might have stepped on the accelerator pedal instead of the brakes.

La Petite Academy is a national chain that provides day care, kindergartens and kindergartens.
