More than 50 riders rushed to cheer us on.

“This is a good expression for all officers, not just Hancher officers. Look at this. This is great,” said cyclist Ron Sebastiani.

Edith Ramana says he organized the event in honor of Hancher. She wants to make this special event a reality, even though she has never met him.

“We all love cycling and we understand that he’s also crazy about fitness. I’ve put together this event and this ride for him, supporting the Myrtle Beach Police Station and the cycling community. And I wanted to love Myrtle Beach, “Ramana said.

“I was really looking forward to this. I’m really excited to see everyone here. How excited are you all to participate in this? I think it’s a great compliment.” Williams said.
