Cleave Cool, Missouri (KMOV.com) –A few days after five cars were stolen at a Firestone repair shop in University City, crimes were repeated in Cleave Cool.
Police said a group of boys broke the window of a store in 12740 Olive Boulevard early Thursday morning and stole a key from somewhere inside. The key was not considered to be in the lockbox and there was no alarm or was not working at that location.
Four cars were stolen and the theft was not reported until Thursday sunrise. One of them was eventually recovered in the city of St. Louis and was found to have been driven by a boy.
The thieves have been captured by the camera and police believe they are black men between the ages of 12 and 15. However, it is unknown how the suspect was involved in the theft.
This is the location of the second Firestone, which was attacked by a car thief last week, as five cars were stolen from the 7361 Forsyth Boulevard on Monday morning. Similar to the theft on Thursday, the suspect broke the window, stole the key from the store, and stole the car from the parking lot.
All of these cars have been identified and most of them are damaged, according to University City Police.
