Polk County, Florida (CW44 News At 10) – Undercover Investigation Polk County resulted in the arrest of three people, two of whom were illegally arrested in the United States. The survey revealed methamphetamine trafficking relationships in Mexico, Colorado, Atlanta and Pork counties.
In September 2020, a drug detective at the Pork County Sheriff’s Office developed information that the source of illegal drugs was the trafficking of methamphetamine from Colorado to Pork County. The detective created information about the suspect in Arapahoe County, Colorado, and three people were arrested. The latest arrest occurred last week in Denver, Colorado. Investigations will continue on other possible suspects involved.
26-year-old Christian Garcia-Kornejo He was arrested on October 5, 2020 in Denver, Colorado (illegal in the United States from Mexico) and booked with the Arapahoe County Security Office in Pork County for a plot to smuggle over 200 grams of methanefetamine. Garcia-Kornejo is detained unrestrained while waiting for delivery to Polk County.
21-year-old Kevin Nieto-Figueroa Senoia, Georgia (illegal in the United States from Mexico) arrested on October 4, 2020 for trafficking in methanephetamine (F1), trafficking in methanephetamine (F1), and possession of tools (M1) it was done. Nieto-Figueroa was held in Pork County Jail and currently holds an ICE hold.
20-year-old Myra Alejandr Melaz People in Senoia, Georgia were arrested on October 4, 2020 for trafficking in methamphetamine (F1), trafficking in methamphetamine (F1), and possession of tools (M1). Melaz was imprisoned in Pork County Prison.
The survey is as follows:
PCSO detectives have arranged a face-to-face drug deal. On October 4, 2020, the detective met Nieto Figueroa and Melaz in a private location in Winter Haven, Florida. The two generated 5 kilograms (value of $ 400,000 on the street) hidden in a box from the vehicle and placed it in the backseat of a masked vehicle.
Both Nieto Figueroa and Melaz were arrested and transferred to Pork County Prison.
During the investigation, it was discovered that Nieto Figueroa had picked up methamphetamine in Atlanta. He was in contact with someone in Mexico who had been in contact with a dealer outside Colorado identified as Garcia-Cornejo.
PCSO detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Garcia Cornejo, and on October 5, 2020, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office arrested Garcia Cornejo. He is currently in custody in Arapahoe County Jail and has no bond waiting to be handed over to Pork County.
In the survey, a total of 7 kg of methamphetamine was seized.
Grady Judd, Sheriff of Pork County, said: “People who illegally come to our country for the sole purpose of committing a crime must be held accountable and eventually returned to their country of origin. Methanphetamine destroys people and their families — this poison. Anyone who trafficks and sells is trafficked by death and destruction. “
