Pittsburgh (KDKA) – Downtown Pittsburgh streets have been closed for five months, but no construction work has been done.
The Mobility Infrastructure Department announced Thursday that parts of Fort Ducain Boulevard will be closed from Monday. The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership will begin hosting events and activities aimed at boosting business in the city’s central business district.
The westbound lane of Fort Ducain Boulevard will be closed from Stanwicks to Seventh Street. According to the city, the closure will continue until October 7, with a detour from Seventh Street to Penn Avenue and Stanwicks Street.
Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership said I hope that the number of people will increase significantly In downtown, restrictions will be lifted, vaccinations will increase, and a warm climate will arrive.
