1.1. Milwaukee Recreation: Mil-WALK-ee: September 21st (Tuesday), 23rd (Thursday)

The Mil-WALK-ee program of Milwaukee Recreation is back in the fall.The program is free to join and anyone interested in the program can register here.. This week, the walking club will be at Valentine Coffee, 5918 W. Vliet St. from 10am to 11:15 am on Tuesday, September 21st, and from 10am at Mitchell Park Domes, 524 S. 2.2. COA and Clean Slate Milwaukee Restoration Summit: September 22nd (Wednesday)

The COA Youth & Family Center and Clean Slate Milwaukee host restoration summits for individuals with criminal records or on parole. 3.3. Drive-through job fair: Thursday, September 23

The city of Milwaukee and its partners will be hosting two drive-through job fairs this week. Job fairs will be held on Thursday, September 23, from noon to 4 pm at Midtown (5825 W. Hope Avenue) and Prince of Peace Catholic School (1015 S. 24th St.). Participants will receive information about the employment support program. And employment opportunities.

4.4. Milwaukee County Community Health Survey: Deadline September 24th (Friday)

Residents of Milwaukee County are invited to participate in a local health survey. The survey asks questions about access to health care, tobacco and alcohol use, diet, and physical activity.The Milwaukee Healthcare Partnership is conducting this survey as part of that effort. Assessment of community health needs..Surveys are available and accessible in English and Spanish here.. Available until September 24th (Friday).

5.5. “Steps to Healing Beats” Block Party: Saturday, September 25

Koa El Centro, 130 W. Bruce St. is hosting a block party on Saturday, September 25th, from 1pm to 4pm. The theme is “Steps to Healing Beats”. Dance, yoga, raffle, music, flu and COVID-19 shots, bounce house and more. The funds raised during the block party will be used for the organization’s overall athletic program.
