Preparing for your gynecologist appointment can be nerve wracking. Should you shave your pubic hair? Should you shower? And where should you put your underwear? Here are 5 things to stop stressing about when going to your gyno.

No one cares about your underwear, so stop hiding them. It’s your appointment, just keep them out of the way.
You don’t need a pedicure before your appointment but please stop wearing boots in the summer. If you’re really concerned, wear socks. Easy peasy.
Your vaginal odor is fine. Your gynecologist doesn’t smell anything… unless you have an infection. Sometimes your smell is a signal something is wrong and that’s why you’re there in the first place. Phew. What a relief!
Your pubic hair is your personal preference. Your gynecologist can work with anything. So, go ahead, grow it out.
And lastly, when your doctor asks you about your sexual history, be honest. Your doctor doesn’t care as long as you’re safe. You don’t need to lie and thank goodness for that.
