A six-year-old girl was shot in the chest on Thursday night in the Homewood district of Pittsburgh. Police confirmed that the child was taken to a local hospital in danger. Police said they responded to a gunfire locator warning around 6 pm at 1000 blocks on Lonedale Street. While the officer was heading to the scene, he was notified of someone shot at 7100 blocks on Frankstown Avenue. Police found a 6-year-old SUV girl with a gunshot wound on her chest. Police confirmed that the adult driver was not injured. Police are investigating. No arrest has been announced.
