61 more deaths, 19,000 more people vaccinated – Wichita, Kansas

Wichita, Kansas (KSNW) — The number of deaths in Kansas associated with COVID-19 increased by 61 from Wednesday to 3,779.

The· Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) More than 2,168 Kansas have tested positive for the coronavirus, he said. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 274,685 Kansas have been positive.

Also since Wednesday, more than 149 Kansas have been hospitalized with COVID-19.

KDHE does not track the number of people who have recovered.

According to KDHE, 6,779 people have been negative in the last two days.

Regarding coronavirus vaccination, KDHE says 168,341 Kansas, 5.8% of the state’s population is currently vaccinated. It has increased by 19,263 since Wednesday.

The number of vaccines distributed throughout the state is 412,375, an increase of 156,825 from Wednesday.

KDHE releases updates every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
