Tucson, Arizona 2021-09-09 00:00:06 –

Tucson, Arizona (KGUN) — A local 78-year-old woman is rewarded for her uplifting attitude, the gym people need most.
“I don’t know how long I will live, but I want to be able to move, do things, and drive a car,” said 78-year-old Jean Grimm.
Grim comes to the gym almost every day and brings a lot of friends.
“None of us are going to be grandmas in rocking chairs,” Grimm said.
She started an exercise to bring training classes for the elderly to Chuze Fitness in Ajo.
Classes are taught through a national fitness program called Silver Sneakers.
“It’s really about moving, moving them, working on their flexibility, strength training, and aerobic exercise,” said Jason House, an exercise instructor at Chuze Fitness Group.
Due to Grimm’s positive attitude, Silver Sneakers chose her as the finalist for the 2021 Member of the Year Awards.
“She is inspired just by looking at her and the energy she brings to the class,” said class member Karen Curry.
