The town of Massachusetts is taking a double take this year.
There are eight pairs of twins in the Lunenburg High School graduation class.
In a class of 100 students, 16 of them are twins.
“We all grew up very close. I don’t know. I think it’s cool,” said Emma Marinchev.
She and her sister Kate Marinchev are charter members of the group.
“We just described it like a built-in friend,” Kate said. “Rive and Ethan, we grew up with them, so it became normal just to have twins.”
Fitchburg Sentinel and Enterprise began tracking the group in 2002 with a story on the home page. Twelve of the Lunenburg twins were filmed on a 6th grade natural excursion. I participate in the class together with 4 sets from the first grade.
“I knew there were a lot of twins in the town. It’s well water, so it’s like,” What’s in the well water? ” Said Lynn Toumi, her mother. Grow and mature.
“It’s really special to have a relationship with your twin brother and then a twin friend,” she added.
Olivia and Ethan LeBlanc are the only sibling pair. They grew up with each other and with the other twins in the class.
“I wasn’t with my brother because my mom wanted us to do our thing,” said Olivia Leblanc.
This fall, all the twins stop doing their thing-university and new places are separated for the first time in their lives.
“It’s definitely a shame, but we’re all very intimate,” said Ethan Leblanc. “I think we will stay connected.”
There are two more twins in town, but they didn’t graduate in the 2021 class because they attended another school.
