9-year-old girl killed in Butler County crash – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

A 9-year-old girl from Baltimore, Maryland, died in a crash in Butler County. The crash occurred on Sunday night on Route 422 in Clearfield Township. According to state police, the vehicle the girl was in was heading east on the road with the vehicle in front pulling the trailer. When the vehicle towing the trailer stopped and turned left into the roadway, the vehicle collided from behind. The girl was on board. A 9-year-old child was sentenced to death at the scene. The driver of the vehicle in which the girl was riding was injured and taken to the hospital. Two of the vehicles towing the trailer were not injured. State police are investigating.

When the vehicle towing the trailer stopped to turn left on the driveway, it was struck from behind by the vehicle the girl was riding.

The nine-year-old was declared dead on the scene.

The driver of the car in which the girl was riding was injured and taken to the hospital.

Two people in the car towing the trailer were not injured.

State police are investigating.
