Hermit Peak-Calf Canyon Fire burns about 190,000 acres and contains 43%. Over 1,500 firefighters are working to gain control of a fire that has partially begun due to open burning. Some communities have been forced to evacuate. State officials said Taos County was notified as the fire moved north.
