Detroit – It was difficult to compare the 2021 Hyundai Elantra with the drastic curved dash of its $ 26,000 sticker. It seems that front-wheel drive sedans would have been much more costly.

The interior was very nice. In addition, it had joker-like characteristics. Half of the interior was dark and the driver’s side was light gray. This sounds weird, but you need to offer interior designers salary increases, vacations, or both.

This combination worked, and it was so subtle that we barely noticed until we made a relatively difficult inventory inside the Elantra.

We have found that it has a nicely complemented digital instrument. The odometer and speedometer were light gray and there was a TFT screen between them.

However, all three elements were flipped from black, so it looked like there was one continuous piece. The infotainment screen was combined with the instrument at 3 o’clock.

This participation was neither big nor troublesome. It was smooth and minimal. The interior of the Elantra was transparent. We don’t know any other way to say that. Some temperature control dials and one was for volume. That was it.

These controls were placed in two thin bands under the infotainment touch screen.

The engine was a vibrant 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that produced 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft torque. It was combined with a continuously variable transmission. Hyundai has named it the Smartstream Intelligent Variable Transmission.

This engine ran Elantra with some authority. Acceleration was good and cruising at high speed was appreciated. The sedan was successfully handled on the highways and city streets here.

When I climbed the back seat, it was a comfortable space. There was plenty of space at my feet and plenty of headroom.

There was a premium audio system, satellite radio and a connected app suite for internet connectivity. There was also voice control, LED headlights, heated seats, keyless operation, navigation system and Bluetooth.

Safety features include forward collision assistance with pedestrian protection, blind spot collision assistance, rear-crossing traffic collision avoidance assistance, smart cruise control with stop-and-go, lane keeping assist, and lane follow assist.

The 2021 Hyundai Elantra Limited was a very attractive package, tested for $ 26,960, which was also reasonably priced.
