Actor Ernie Lively, who co-starred with her daughter Blake Lively in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Jeans, has passed away. He was 74 years old. He died of heart complications in Los Angeles on Thursday. Entertainment tonight report.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Lively was surrounded by his wife and five children when he died, according to ET.
He and his wife, Elaine Lively, had two children, Blake and Eric. He adopted three children, Lori, Robin and Jason, in his previous marriage.
A longtime actor starred in the “Duke of Hazzard” television series “The West Wing” and with Tom Hanks in “Turner & Hooch”. He has also appeared on many television shows such as “The Waltons”, “Hangin’with Mr. Cooper” and “Murder, She Wrote”.
He played the father of Blake Lively’s character Bridget Breeland in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Jeans and the 16-year-old Sister.
As part of an experimental retrograde gene therapy at the University of Utah, he had an active heart attack in 2003 and received stem cell therapy in November 2013. Salt Lake Tribune.
