The queen is coming back! Adele will come back to Saturday Night Live step – as a host! – on the October 24 episode for his first public appearance in over three years.
The “Hello” singer, 32, announced the news via Instagram on Sunday, October 18, revealing that SHE will be the musical guest.
“Bloooooody hellllll I’m so excited about this !! And also absolutely terrified! My first hosting gig and for SNL of all things !!!! Adele wrote. “I’ve always wanted to do it on my own, so I can roll up my sleeves and get started, but the timing has never been right. But if there was a time for any of us to jump head first into the depths with our eyes closed and hope for the best, it’s 2020, right?
She added: “It will be almost 12 years to the day since I first appeared on the show, in an election … which interrupted my career in America, so the circle has come full circle and I couldn’t. just not say no. ! I am moreover myself that she will be the musical guest !! I love her so much that I can’t wait to melt into a hot mess when she plays and then get confused as I laugh my ass off in between it all. Adele has already appeared on Saturday Night Live as a musical guest in November 2015 after the release of his critically acclaimed album 25. She also appeared in the NBC sketch comedy in 2008 on the eve of the presidential election.
The “Rolling in the Deep” singer was planning to release an album in 2020. Adele, who has separated from her husband Simon konecki in April 2019, after two years of marriage, reportedly told guests at a friend’s wedding “to wait for my album in September”.
However, his plans have been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The UK native broke the news in June after a fan asked her about the album’s status.
