Albuquerque, New Mexico (KRQE) – Air Force Research Laboratory Kirtland Air Force Base Recognized by Popular Science magazine. They are the focus of attention in the Tactical High Power Operational Responder (THOR) project, a vehicle that can nullify enemy drones.

“THOR is nearing completion of its operational assessment after undergoing rigorous operations in a variety of difficult situations,” Adrian Lucero said in a THOR Program Manager news release.

Each year, the magazine selects 100 new innovations to emphasize that 10 different categories are represented. THOR has been named “Best of the Latest Information” in Popular Science in the Security category. The news release states that the Pentagon is working to ensure that emerging technologies like THOR are ready to support the needs of fighters.
