This alert is valid until midnight on Sunday and affects residents of the Ashtabula, Kayahoga, Goga, Lake, Lorraine, Medina, Portage and Summit counties.
According to the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency, air quality levels are unhealthy for sensitive people, including children, the elderly, and people with respiratory disabilities.

Authorities say you can do the following to reduce air pollution in your neighborhood:
- Reduce driving — a combination of biking, walking, transportation, working from home, and traveling
- Do not idle — stop the engine
- Refill tank after sunset
- Wait to mow the lawn
