Albuquerque family still seeking justice 8 years after son’s murder – Albuquerque, New Mexico

Albuquerque, New Mexico 2021-06-20 00:30:29 –

“Eight years later, it was a long time. There is no justice,” Richard said. “He didn’t find justice. People know that this is also an unsolved case because I just feel I need to reach out and get it back.”

Police believe the murder suspect has fled to Mexico. Richard Villanueva-Cordova was charged with stabbing and killing Michael in a parking lot at a central gas station near 98th June 2013.

Richard said the killing of his son was the result of a debate between neighbors over a barking dog.

“So he knelt down and went to stab him. In 20 to 25 seconds he stabbed him 28 times in the whole body, upper body and lower body and left the scene, and left my son there. I will die. ”

KOB 4 contacted New Mexico Attorney General Hector Valderas for up-to-date information on the case. He sent the following statement:

“We continue to actively work with state, federal, and international law enforcement partners to find the person responsible for this tragic crime and bring justice to Mr. Sanchez’s family.”

Richard hopes that someone who sees this story will know where the suspect is and turn him back, bringing justice and closure to his son and his family.
