Honolulu, Hawaii 2021-12-01 19:27:00 –

Interview with actor producer Alec Baldwin, left, co-anchor of “Good Morning America”, George Stephanopoulos. An hour-long interview about the deadly shootings on the set of Baldwin’s movie “Last” will air on ABC on Thursday, December 2nd at 9pm EST.

New York >> Alec Baldwin told ABC George Stephanopoulos in an interview that aired Thursday that he didn’t trigger the prop gun he had on the New Mexico movie set.

“I didn’t trigger,” Baldwin said. “I never point a gun at anyone or pull a trigger. Never.”

This is Baldwin’s first sit-in interview since the set of the Western drama “Last” was filmed on October 21st. Officials said Baldwin was said to be able to handle the gun safely, but continued to investigate how the live round became a weapon.

ABC released a clip on Wednesday showing that Baldwin had shed tears and collapsed, explaining cinematographer Halyna Hutchins who was killed on the set. Director Joel Souza was also injured.

He answered a question about how the live round ended in a set: “I don’t know. Someone put a live ammunition into the gun. It shouldn’t be on the premises. It ’s a bullet. ”

The interview will air on Thursday at 8 pm Eastern Standard Time as part of a one-hour special at ABC and will be streamed on Hulu later that night.

Investigators described “some complacency” about how the weapons were treated in the “last” set. They said it was premature to decide whether to be prosecuted in an independent civil lawsuit over liability for deadly shootings.

ABC said it will consider the shooting investigation in more detail next week on a special two-hour “20/20”.
