Los Angeles (AP) — The film that Alec Baldwin was making when he shot and killed the cinematographer last week has been officially discontinued.

However, Western producers described the move as “pause, not end.”

In an email to the crew members, the film production team confirmed that Rust was suspended, at least until the investigation was completed.

The team states that it is working with law enforcement agencies to conduct its own internal safety reviews.

The sheriff’s investigation continued on Monday.

Just before the shooting, Baldwin explained how to pull the revolver out of the holster, according to court records.
