Alice takes loss in playoffs; Miller upsets state ranked Lampasas – Riverside, California

It was a fight in San Antonio as the Mirror Bucks tried to stop the state-ranked Lampasas badger in the UIL playoffs area round.

San Antonio — Two more South Texas high school football teams on the field at the UIL Playoffs on Saturday.

In the first match of the day, Alice Coyote faced LBJ Austin’s Jaguar in Segin. Austin got off to a quick start with a touchdown opening kick-off.

Alice also flipped the ball on the next two kick-offs, leading to two jug touchdowns. They posted 20 points before Alice’s attack entered the field.

Good guys playing from behind most of the game were able to find the end zone, but couldn’t stop LBJ’s powerful attack. Alice loses to LBJ Austin 72-20.

LBJ will advance to the regional round against Karalen. The game will take place in Jardington at 7:30 on Friday, November 27th.

Miller Bucs also faced the state’s second-ranked Lampasas badger at the Dub Faris Stadium in San Antonio on Saturday night. The highlights are courtesy of Rio Sports Live.

Lampasas got on the board first and the quick touchdown drive ended with an eight-yard run, but Miller stormed back.

Andrew Body had a quarterback keeper who took it home and tied it up 7-7.

On the next drive, the quarterback ace whitehead interception enhances Bucks’ defense. Then it was a body with a 50 yard bomb to Ronnie Adxism. Ronnie Adxism is the same young man who was just intercepted.

Miller’s defense made another big stop, and the body called his number again with another score to the ground from a distance of about 50 yards.

Miller took a 21-7 lead in the first quarter.

The ball game was in the last few seconds as the two teams continued to exchange punches all night, with the Badgers down 5 points and a touchdown required. They were on the 5 yard line facing 4th and 1st. Mirror Defense held strong again, forcing a down turnover to effectively end the game.

Miller won an upset victory with a score of 54 to 49.

Miller will advance to the regional round of the playoffs, where he will face Berne at the Alamodome in San Antonio at 7:30 on Friday, November 27th.
