Jackson (CBS13) —Amador County suspect was arrested Thursday night after seeing him crawl from under a car in a Wal-Mart parking lot.
The Amador County Sheriff’s Office says lawmakers were doing an area check at Wal-Mart on Wicklowway when they saw Joseph Thurston appearing from under the car.
Lawmakers learned that Tracy’s resident, Thurston, was on probation from San Joaquin County. After further investigation, the agent says Thurston had already stolen the catalytic converter and was trying to get rid of another.
Thurston was quoted on charges of theft, possession of robbery tools, drug-related equipment, tear gas, and vehicle tampering.
