Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (WBTW) – Even crocodiles enjoy occasional soaking in the ocean to cool off.
Kim Wallace, Kentucky, captured a video of this crocodile on Friday while on vacation at Myrtle Beach.
In a Facebook post, Wallace says he saw baby sharks, stingrays and jellyfish. “But I never expected to see this !!!”
Wallace later wrote that local guards tracked the crocodile across the beach until staff at Alligator Adventure, a zoo at North Myrtle Beach, could move it to the facility.
“I wanted to see a shark,” Wallace joked on Facebook. “This is better!”
Crocodiles are primarily freshwater animals and prefer swamps, lakes, or ponds. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.. Not often seen near the sea.
