Retail giant Amazon is looking for 4,900 additional workers in Colorado, roughly divided into Metro Denver and Colorado Springs. In Pueblo, e-commerce support company Radial announced on Tuesday that it would like to add more than 500 customer service agents to help clients deal with vacation turmoil. Fidelity, an investment firm, recently said it plans to add 500 employees to the state.

“Currently, there are more than 125,000 jobs in Colorado. Joe Valera, Colorado’s Secretary-General for Labor and Employment, said in a statement following Tuesday’s announcement of Amazon recruitment that it was a supplementary federal stimulus. Many Colorado citizens need good, flexible, and well-paid jobs because of their expiration.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, Amazon has employed 450,000 people nationwide, primarily in response to the surge in demand for online retail. In-store retailers have recovered as the economy resumed, but the company continues to hire, as does delivery partners who are looking to hire an additional 125,000 workers nationwide by the end of the year.

Of the 4,900 recruits the company recently promoted in the state, 2,200 will open a new distribution center in Colorado Springs this year, according to Amazon’s local spokeswoman Nikki Wheeler. The remaining 2,700 are spread across metropolitan areas, and this year the company added two new delivery stations to some of the facilities it already had.
