Amazon’s Jeff Bezos resigns as CEO on July 5

Jeff Bezos, founder and chief executive officer of Amazon, an American multinational technology company, announced that he will resign as CEO on July 5, when Amazon was founded 27 years ago. Bezos will move to the executive chair role, and Amazon Web Services’ current CEO Andy Jassy will take over the role of Bezos.

Amazon announced the transition of leadership in its February 2021 earnings report.
